Vote the Monkeys Out

Psych 101 = VTBO

If you start with a cage containing five monkeys and inside the cage, hang a banana on a string from the top and then you place a set of stairs under the banana, before long a monkey will go to the stairs and climb toward the banana.

 

As soon as he touches the stairs, you spray all the other monkeys with cold water.  After a while another monkey makes an attempt with same result ... all the other monkeys are sprayed with cold water.

 

Pretty soon when another monkey tries to climb the stairs, the other monkeys will try to prevent it.

 

Now, put the cold water away.  Remove one monkey from the cage and replace it with a new one. The new monkey sees the banana and attempts to climb the stairs. To his shock, all of the other monkeys beat the crap out of him. After another attempt and attack, he knows that if he tries to climb the stairs he will be assaulted.

 

Next, remove another of the original five monkeys, replacing it with a new one.The newcomer goes to the stairs and is attacked. The previous newcomer takes part in the punishment...... with enthusiasm, because he is now part of the "team". Then, replace a third original monkey with a new one, followed by the fourth, then the fifth. Every time the newest monkey takes to the stairs, he is attacked.

 

Now, the monkeys that are beating him up have no idea why they were not permitted to climb the stairs. Neither do they know why they are participating in the beating of the newest monkey.Finally, having replaced all of the original monkeys, none of the remaining monkeys will have ever been sprayed with cold water. Nevertheless, not one of the monkeys will try to climb the stairway for the banana.  Why, you ask? Because in their minds...that is the way it has always been! This, my friends, is how Congress operates... and this is why, from time to time: ALL of the monkeys need to be REPLACED AT THE SAME TIME.

Sorry it has been so long.

I haven't put my thoughts down in writing here for a while. I worry the enormity of the problem was more than I could handle, but someone has got to keep trying and maybe the American electorate will pull it's collective head out and throw some arrogant collective butts out. Also term limits and an end to the governing elite, with power to order but not obey. I was sent this today and I guess it got me going. Hope you like it.

1. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.


2. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.


3. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my friend is the beginning of the end of any society.


4. (This is mine alone) When any group in a society, be it a private or governmental group, believes that they are entitled to an obsine amount more of everything, only because they are better than everyone else, that society has ceased to be a democratic republic and has become an oligarchy.

We all KNEW something like this was going to happen. (That way Obama wasn't lying when he said illegal’s would not be able to get medical coverage under his ObamaCare plan. His simple fix is to make them all legal first...and could this have anything to do with slanting the vote in 2010 & 2012....?)

The Center for Disease Control has issued a warning about a new virulent strain of Sexually Transmitted Disease.

The disease is contracted through dangerous and high-risk behavior. The disease is called Gonorrhea Lectim; and pronounced "gonna re-elect them."

Many victims contracted it in 2008, after having been screwed.

Naturalists and epidemiologists are amazed at how destructive this disease has become sinceit is easily cured -- by voting out all incumbents!

Here's Hoping for a Less Politically Statis Quo 2010!

My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day.  He has his food prepared for him.  He can eat whenever he wants, 24/7/365.  

His meals are provided at no cost to him.  He visits the Dr. once a year for his checkup, and again during the year if any medical needs arise.  

For this He pays nothing, and nothing is required of him.   He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than  He needs, but  He is not required to do any upkeep.  

If He makes a mess, someone else cleans it up.  He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep.  He receives these accommodations absolutely free.  He is living like a king, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever.  

All of his costs are picked up by others who go out and earn a living every day. 

I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a brick in the head,  Holy Moly!, my dog is a US Congressman!

 I think the vast differences in compensation between victims of the September 11 casualty and those who die serving our country in Uniform are profound.. No one is really talking about it either, because you just don't criticize anything having to do with September 11. Well, I can't let the numbers pass by because it says something really disturbing about the entitlement mentality of this country. If you lost a family member in the September 11 attack, you're going to get an average of $1,185,000. The range is a minimum guarantee of $250,000, all the way up to $4.7 million. If you are a surviving family member of an American soldier killed in action, the first check you get is a $6,000 direct death benefit, half of which is taxable.
 Next, you get $1,750 for burial costs. If you are the surviving spouse, you get $833 a month until you remarry. And there's a payment of $211 per month for each child under 18. When the child hits 18, those payments come to a screeching halt.
Keep in mind that some of the people who are getting an average of $1.185 million up to $4.7 million are complaining that it's not enough. Their deaths were tragic, but for most, they were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Soldiers put themselves in harms way FOR ALL OF US, and they and their families know the dangers. (Actually, soldiers are put in harms way by politicians and commanding officers.)
 We also learned over the weekend that some of the victims from the Oklahoma City bombing have started an organization asking for the same deal that the September 11 families are getting. In addition to that, some of the families of those bombed in the embassies are now asking for compensation as well.
You see where this is going, don't you? Folks, this is part and parcel of over 50 years of entitlement politics in this country. It's just really sad. Every time a pay raise comes up for the military, they usually receive next to nothing of a raise. Now the green machine is in combat in the Middle East while their families have to survive on food stamps and live in low-rent housing. Make sense?
 However, our own US Congress voted themselves a raise. Many of you don't know that they only have to be in Congress one time to receive a pension that is more than $15,000 per month. And most are now equal to being millionaires plus.. They do not receive Social Security on retirement because they didn't have to pay into the system. If some of the military people stay in for 20 years and get out as an E-7, they may receive a pension of $1,000 per month, and the very people who placed them in harm's way receives a pension of $15,000 per month.
 I would like to see our elected officials pick up a weapon and join ranks before they start cutting out benefits and lowering pay for our sons and daughters who are now fighting.

This is another reason they need to go.

Sorry it's been so long between posts but if I don't having something worth saying, unlike our cadre of professional politicians, I say nothing. Today I came upon this and though it's not original to me it expresses my feelings to a T.


Once upon a time the government had a vast scrap yard in the middle of a desert. Congress said, "Someone may steal from it at night." So they created a night watchman position and hired a person for the job.Then Congress said, "How does the watchman do his job without instruction?" So they created a planning department and hired two people, one person to write the instructions, and one person to do time studies.Then Congress said, "How will we know the night watchman is doing the tasks correctly?" So they created a Quality Control department and hired two people. One to do the studies and one to write the reports.Then Congress said, "How are these people going to get paid?" So They created the following positions, a time keeper, and a payroll officer. Then hired two people.Then Congress said, "Who will be accountable for all of these people?" So they created an administrative section and hired three people, an Administrative Officer, Assistant Administrative Officer, and a Legal Secretary.Then Congress said, "We have had this command in operation for one year and we are $18,000 over budget, we must cut back overall cost."So they laid off the night watchman. ---------------------------------------

We've spent several hundred billion dollars in support of an agency. . . . the reason for which not one person who reads this can remember!Ready?? It was very simple ... and at the time, everybody thought it very appropriate.The Department of Energy was instituted on 8-04-1977. TO LESSEN OUR DEPENDENCE ON FOREIGN OIL.Hey, pretty efficient, huh???AND NOW, IT'S 2009 -- 32 YEARS LATER -- AND THE BUDGET FOR THIS "NECESSARY" DEPARTMENT IS AT $24.2 BILLION A YEAR. THEY HAVE 16,000 FEDERAL EMPLOYEES AND APPROXIMATELY 100,000 CONTRACT EMPLOYEES; AND LOOK AT THE JOB THEY HAVE DONE! THIS IS WHERE YOU SLAP YOUR FOREHEAD AND SAY, "WHAT WAS I THINKING?"Ah, yes -- good ole bureaucracy.AND, NOW, WE ARE GOING TO TURN THE BANKING SYSTEM, HEALTH CARE AND THE AUTO INDUSTRY OVER TO THE SAME GOVERNMENT?
